To prepare those selected to liaise and support, either directly or indirectly, the
family of any victim of a crisis incident by giving them a basic knowledge and understanding of the issues, an appropriate decision-making structure and the procedures to be followed.
The training will draw upon Ambrey’s knowledge of resolving kidnap incidents and providing advice and guidance to families. The instructor’s 25 years of kidnap and crisis management expertise will bring their own experiences of working with families during kidnap incidents worldwide.
To prepare those responsible for managing the response to a piracy kidnap by giving them a basic understanding of the issues they are likely to face, the decision-making structure required and the procedures to be followed.
The workshop will make full use of Ambrey’s unique experience in supporting clients facing piracy kidnap situations. Training will be conducted using a combination of formal presentations, video and audio materials, case histories and live role playing.
The course will provide attendees with an understanding of the basic elements and structure of a kidnap case, including an awareness of the pressures which can develop.
This pre-incident preparation aims to teach participants some effective coping skills and strategies that will help to reduce the psychological impact of a kidnap. Simple measures will also be identified to reduce the likelihood of a kidnap occurring in the first place.
The course includes scenario-based simulations mirroring real-world crisis incidents. These hands-on exercises provide a realistic environment, allowing participants to hone their decision making skills in situations fraught with serious risks.
Crisis incidents may involve more time critical decision making and are demanding and complex scenarios. This workshop will give delegates a basic understanding of the issues they are likely to face, the decision-making structure required and the procedures to be followed.
This structured assessment is in line with best practice as recognised by both the Military under the TRiM process and the Institute of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) methodology.
The TRiM process is designed to ensure that individuals receive the highest quality management when they may be vulnerable to psychological injury. It is also intended to support senior leadership within the organisation affected to formulate a management plan based on the careful analysis of the situation.
Designed for those selected by companies or families to communicate with kidnappers and for those wishing to enhance their communication skills to an advanced level.
Participants will develop advanced rapport-building and persuasion techniques, essential for handling high-stakes crisis situations and valuable in everyday business or personal negotiations. The course demonstrates how principles used in hostage and life-threatening crisis negotiations can be effectively applied to real-world interactions across various contexts.
A bespoke Mental Fitness, Wellbeing and Resilience programme.
This is a blended organisation-wide mental health training programme focusing on leaders at all levels. The content includes mental resilience, stress management, leadership and communication.
This programme can be delivered virtually via an online platform.
