QHSSE MANAGEMENT SYSTEM

The Ambrey Group operates via an integrated QHSSE management system of continual internal review and development and 6 monthly third party audits by Lloyds Register Quality Assurance (LRQA), accredited by the United Kingdom Accreditation Service (UKAS).

Best practice HSSE, United Nations Voluntary Principles and Human Rights, Anti-Slavery, ABC, Privacy and Data Security standards are applied in all areas of operation.

We operate a 24/7 incident and event response framework inclusive of safety management, intelligence reporting, incident management, business continuity planning and mitigation.

ENVIRONMENTAL

Ambrey maintain activities in a global context – independently and via a supply chain of interested third parties and stakeholders.

Ambrey is committed to the protection of the environment and maintains procedures to ensure compliance obligations are met via:

  • Preventing pollution
  • Complying with all relevant legal, client and third-party requirements [compliance obligations via interested parties] in the UK and in regions of operation
  • Adopting best practices applicable to activities wherever it is practical to do so

Ambrey business activities have potential impact in the following key areas:

  • Energy use: manned locations, operations, travel
  • Generation of waste materials

Ambrey recognises that it has a responsibility to:

  • Training its employees in good environmental protection practices and encouraging employee involvement in environmental improvement initiatives

Ambrey recognise the positive environmental impact of the business and interested third parties and will continue to develop these positive impacts in all areas of operation.

The implementation of this Environmental Policy is fundamental to the conduct of the Ambrey business & associated inter ted parties from a life cycle perspective that can “prevent environmental impacts from being unintentionally shifted elsewhere within the life cycle” [Introduction, 02, ISO 14001:2015].

HEALTH

Ambrey maintain a 360 internal line management reporting and communication procedure: Individuals-Management-Senior Management-Associate Director-Director-Managing Director.

A transparent dialogue and evidence based communication procedure is maintained for interested parties and stakeholders.

The company Associate Directors and Directors form the ELT (Executive Leadership Team) and maintain meeting procedures inclusive of HSSEQ:

  • Weekly routinely
  • Monthly as required
  • Quarterly routinely (strategy and KPI review)
  • Quarterly routinely (townhall brief)
  • Ad hoc as required as the Management Response Team (Incident, Emergency, Crisis and Continuity Management)

The company maintain communications with interested parties and stakeholders via reporting procedures, due diligence, meetings, presentations and telcons.

Employees, contractors and interested parties (including visitors) are aware of: their responsibilities

How we do it:

Ambrey maintains an Integrated Management System* and company policies and procedures that are reviewed routinely and meet the requirements of ISO 9001:2015.

Ambrey will recruit, train and retain competent staff and contractors to achieve organisational and strategic goals via the following:

  • Objectives (Departments and teams)

The Integrated Management System operated by Ambrey represents the framework by which we control and improve the effectiveness of our management processes. We shall update our policy as required, to reflect the changing needs of the maritime industry, international legislation, regulation, guidance, interested parties and stakeholders including partners, suppliers and clients.

Ambrey shall ensure that all personnel are aware of the Quality Policy Statement and are conversant with the company management system as applicable to their area of responsibility.

SAFETY

All our identified hazards are risk managed under our risk management approach, we strive to eliminate all hazards or to reduce to as low as reasonably practicable.

Our vessels operate under the International Safety Management (ISM) code.

Our personnel, clients, contractors/subcontractors, third party stakeholders and visitors have a duty and are encouraged to report immediately any unsafe act or condition. We operate a no blame culture in this regard, and as such Ambrey management will always support this intervention culture.

SECURITY

Private security, safety and risk management, particularly in armed security context, is constantly evolving. It is complex and subject to regulatory framework. By its very nature operations contain risks.

Ambrey maintain an extensive and global network of individuals, organisations and established institutions (national and international) to ensure timely, effective and compliant delivery of services to our clients.

Senior management from all areas of the business (including the Executive Leadership Team – ELT) govern and advise on Ambrey routine activities and company strategy and are committed to an ISO 28000 and 28007 compliant management system within which all policy and procedures are developed.

The commitment is consistent with the vision and values of Ambrey and central to core business areas operational, strategic, legal, regulatory and contractual requirements and compliance obligations.

Ambrey works continuously to meet its compliance obligations to all interested parties, stakeholders inclusive of incident, risk management and business continuity and crisis management arrangements.

Sufficient resources will be allocated by the company as per requirement to ensure effective implementation of all policy and procedure.

Complying with this standard shows that we’re committed to protecting our staff and all those we work with by monitoring relevant Health and Safety issues across all areas of our operations and making sure that appropriate and up-to-date procedures are in place.
