Commercial Delivery Junior Manager – India

Commercial Delivery Junior Manager is a full-time position based at our Mumbai, India office.

The Role

This position is based in our Mumbai office as a full-time Commercial Delivery Junior
Manager for Ambreyโ€™s Commercial Delivery Team. The Commercial Delivery Junior
Manager will be there to support the Sales/Commercial/Account Management
Departments. The Junior Commercial Delivery Manager will work with the
Commercial department and wider team and have responsibility for assisting in all
aspects of maritime transit. The post will report to the Commercial Delivery
Managers.

Responsibilities

  • Liaise with internal departments to support the client throughout the voyage or task.
  • Verify all voyage information such as ETA, location, vessel name, and charterersโ€™ details, checking vessel sanctions prior to quotation.
  • Prepare competitive quotations using internal pricing tools and market knowledge.
  • Communication directly with clients to ensure they understand the information provided and we try to convert the quotation.
  • Assist in proactively managing the shared commercial mailboxes.
  • Clear understanding of client and supplier responsibilities.
  • Establish and maintain a thorough understanding of all the Commercial teamsโ€™ clientsโ€™ needs and requirements.
  • Assist in the coordination of all transits under the direction of the Commercial Managers.

QUALIFICATIONS AND SKILLS

  • 2+ years of previous relevant office administration or commercial experience.
  • Previous experience using a CRM database is desired but not essential
  • High levels of initiative and self-motivation.
  • Have good judgement and decision-making skills, with an understanding of the impact on stakeholders.
  • Strong multi-tasking skills, with the ability to coordinate activities, facilitate unit goals and manage resource requirements.
  • Excellent interpersonal and verbal/written communication skills, with internal and external stakeholders.
  • Excellent IT skills covering the Microsoft Office Suite.
  • Strong administration skills, with the ability to assist in numerous projects simultaneously while meeting exact deadlines.
  • Ability to work under pressure during emergency situations.
  • Ability to analyse, evaluate and recommend new operational systems, policies and procedures to improve best practice.
  • Previous experience within the maritime services sector in a commercial or operational co-ordination/administration role.
  • Experience of using a SONAR7 system, desirable.

  • Working hours: Part of a duty rota, including standard working hours as well as early, late, and weekend shifts as required.

  • Meet accuracy SLAs for quotations.
  • All contracts sent to wider teams no more than 76 hours after confirmation.
  • Timeliness and precision of order and contract processing.
  • Compliance with internal commercial procedures and reporting standards.
  • Work towards win percentage targets

TERMS AND CONDITIONS

  • Salary: Commensurate with experience
  • Annual Leave: 23 days per annum plus public holidays
  • Working hours: 09:00am to 18:00 or 15:30 to 00:30 (local time) Monday to Friday. There is also a requirement to participate in a weekend duty Rota.
