AMBREY APPOINTS ED WOLLASTON AS DIRECTOR OF GLOBAL RESPONSE

Southampton, United Kingdom – 13th January 2026

Ed assumed the role at the beginning of November and is now responsible for overseeing, coordinating, and optimising Ambrey’s worldwide emergency response operations.”

In his new position, Ed will lead the strategic development of Ambrey’s integrated response capabilities—ensuring the company delivers rapid, expert support to clients facing complex maritime and multi-disciplinary events around the globe.

Ed joins Ambrey from Skuld, where he spent seven years within the Casualty and Major Claims team in London and Oslo. During this time, he advised on large-scale salvage and wreck removal operations worldwide, providing both technical guidance and strategic incident-management support to a broad international client base.

Before Skuld, Ed worked for LOC in London and Hong Kong, serving as Shipping Technical Director. He was appointed to the Lloyd’s Special Casualty Representative (SCR) Panel in 2016. His work included preparing expert reports for High Court and arbitration proceedings relating to vessel stability, structural integrity, newbuild projects, and class matters in London, Hong Kong and Mumbai. He has also provided oral evidence in London arbitrations.

“Always-on” —Ed will be based at Ambrey’s new 24/7 Global Operations Centre (GOC) in Southampton, which officially opened in June 2025 and serves as the centre for the delivery of critical services to prepare, support and respond to safeguard both seafarers and maritime assets, offering clients around the world peace of mind.
