The Role
We are seeking an accomplished and results-driven Risk Analytics Commercial Director to lead our analytic services business development initiatives within the maritime risk analytics and risk management sector. The successful candidate will be responsible for driving revenue growth, developing strategic partnerships, and expanding our client base for risk analytics solutions. Based in Southampton/London, this role will report to the Managing Director of Risk Analytics & Loss Prevention.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and execute a comprehensive sales strategy to drive revenue growth for Ambrey’s risk analytics services.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, building and maintaining relationships with key stakeholders in the maritime industry.
- Engage with clients to understand their risk management needs and promote Ambrey’s analytics solutions.
- Meet and exceed sales targets, delivering consistent and measurable business results.
- Develop strategic alliances with industry partners to enhance Ambrey’s market presence and service offerings.
- Conduct market research and analysis to identify trends, opportunities, and competitive positioning.
- Build and lead a high-performing sales team, providing coaching and performance management.
- Work closely with product, marketing, and operations teams to ensure client needs are met and feedback is integrated into service development.
- Provide regular sales forecasts, performance reports, and market insights to senior management.
Qualifications and skills:
- Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field; MBA is a plus.
- Proven track record of success in sales and business development within the maritime, insurance, or risk management sectors.
- Strong knowledge of maritime risk management, intelligence services, or related analytical solutions.
- Exceptional sales, negotiation, and relationship management skills.
- Experience in developing and implementing sales strategies to achieve revenue targets.
- Excellent communication and presentation skills.
- Leadership experience with a focus on team building and performance management.
- Proficiency in CRM tools and sales analytics platforms.
Terms and conditions
- Salary: commensurate with experience
- Working hours: 08:30am to 17:30pm Monday to Friday
- Annual Leave: 25 days per annum plus public holidays.
