The Role
We are seeking an experienced and dynamic Loss Prevention Director to lead our risk management strategies within the maritime industry. This leadership role is pivotal in mitigating potential threats and losses, ensuring the safety and security of our operations and clients. Based in Southampton, this role will report into the Managing Director Risk Analytics & Loss Prevention.
Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement comprehensive risk management plans to mitigate operational, financial, and reputational risks in the maritime sector.
- Establish and enforce policies and procedures aimed at loss prevention and risk mitigation, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.
- Lead and mentor a team of risk advisors and loss prevention specialists, fostering a culture of excellence, collaboration, and continuous improvement.
- Conduct thorough risk assessments and analyses to identify emerging risks and vulnerabilities within maritime operations and supply chains.
- Collaborate with internal stakeholders and external partners to develop and implement risk mitigation measures and contingency plans.
- Monitor and evaluate the effectiveness of risk management initiatives, making recommendations for improvements as necessary.
- Stay abreast of industry trends, emerging risks, and regulatory developments, providing strategic insights and recommendations to senior management.
- Act as a trusted advisor to clients, providing expert guidance and support on risk management best practices and solutions.
- Oversee the development and delivery of training programs and workshops to enhance risk awareness and promote a culture of risk management excellence.
- Represent the company in industry forums, conferences, and client meetings, showcasing expertise and thought leadership in risk advisory and loss prevention.

Terms and conditions
- Salary: commensurate with experience
- Working hours: 08:30am to 17:30pm Monday to Friday
- Annual Leave: 25 days per annum plus public holidays.
- Job type: Full-time, permanent.
