WHAT DO YOU DO DAY-TO-DAY?

As the Group Managing Director I oversee all aspects of the company, providing both day-to-day support and strategic direction. I frequently travel to spend time with clients, our business partners, suppliers, regulatory bodies, our guards and our marine crews, so time in one place is a rarity.
 

WHAT DO YOU ENJOY MOST?

The people. We are fortunate to work with so many diverse and fascinating people around the world. Being part of a global business and travelling so often, I am privileged to experience incredibly varied cultures on a regular basis. Plus there’s just never a dull day here! It certainly takes patience, a sense of humour, self-motivation and determination to work at Ambrey. But I wouldn’t want to be doing anything else.
 

WHAT MAKES YOU GOOD AT IT?

My background is in commercial security as both a practitioner and business manager. Having worked at large private security firms including Olive Group and Control Risks before founding Ambrey, I have been very clear about Ambrey’s direction from the beginning and have had a broad range of experiences to draw upon to help us get there.
 

WHAT’S THE BIGGEST CHALLENGE?

What we do is complex and sensitive. It demands the very highest professional standards but, at the same time, dynamic commercial approaches to the market. The industry landscape is always changing, so my focus is on turning those challenges into opportunities for Ambrey and utilising the wider team’s collective experience to get there.
